OUR STORY
EYE & CO. Optometry was founded by a local optometrist, wife and mother, Dr. Y-Nhi Wong. Her objective is to offer a personalized eye care experience for everyone. With the encouragement of many people, she decided to also pursue her dream of collaborating with her like-minded husband to provide exceptional optometry and dentistry to the community in Edmonton. Their passion is to provide exceptional preventative eye care and dental care in a progressive and friendly environment.

DR. Y-NHI WONG
Optometrist + Founder
Dr. Y-Nhi Wong moved to Alberta in 2006 where she practiced optometry in rural Peace River for many years. She then moved to Edmonton to be closer to family and to start a family of her own. Her goals are to provide eye care with a loving community atmosphere in an urban setting - the best of both worlds. Dr. Wong is passionate about preventative eye care, adores working with children, has an interest in treating dry eye disease, and has a keen eye for quality fashion forward eyewear. Dr. Wong is currently a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, Alberta College of Optometrists and the Alberta Association of Optometrists.

How do you pronounce your first name, Y-Nhi?
Take a guess! It’s pronounced ‘eenie’.
Where did you grow up?
Friendly Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Which optometry school did you attend?
I’m a proud alumni of the University of Waterloo.
Do you wear glasses?
Yes! I had an eye turn (also known as strabismus) and started wearing glasses when I was four years old.
Do you have any pets?
A super sweet golden-doodle.
If you were stuck on an island and only allowed two foods, what would it be?
Donuts and kimchi ramen.
What’s your favourite concert that you have attended?
It’s a tie between Sade and Drake.
If you could choose another occupation (besides optometry), what would it be?
To get a job on Top Gear racing and reviewing cars!

Baking and spending time with my family.

Dusty pink, light pink and bright pink.

Ramen and coffee.

The Philippines to visit my family.
